I had a hard time getting into this book... mostly because Emily starts out as a scaredy cat afraid of her own shadow, wanting a big strong guy to protect her. And I was looking for a book with a girl who can kick ass and take names! Also her character seems a little immature for being an adult in college, a lot of her thoughts and actions seem more like a young teenager. But as the the story moves along I began to like her character more and I am interested to see who she becomes, and how the other characters progress. I like the story line, and am wondering what is going to make Emily unique and why it took so long for her to come into her powers.....I also with the story was a bit longer, giving you the chance to get to know the characters, but I guess that will be in the next book....waiting for the story to continue ....A great read, especially since it was free on my kindle! : )

Still reading but has so much to make you want to know what's happening next!!! This author should keep the writing flowing!!!
I enjoyed reading this book in one sitting. It has everything I love an independent kick a** heroine, alpha males, action, vampires and supernatural elements. Loved Emily and Lucy. Great characters, interesting and real. Kept turning the pages wanting to know what was next. Look forward to the next book in the series.
I enjoyed Volume 1. Hope Volume 2 will be out soon. I have recommended this book to others. I hope this author will soon have other releases.
This book is very well written, and very interesting. You are drawn into the story right from the beginning, and it just doesn't stop. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
Great story, interesting characters, and has me looking forward to the next book in the series. Wish I had special powers.
This was a great read for anyone who likes different takes on the whole vampire thing. I did notice that there was a little to much of Emily's "thoughts". It got to be a bit much. Oh and whoever made this into a kindle book did not do a good job. A lot of words didn't have spaces in between and a few other errors. Overall tho I would recommend this book to all my friends.
Other than a few places where the words were not properly spaced, this book was exciting, thrilling and kept my attention right to the end.
