Life is not what they dreamed it would be until one day the girls have their wish granted by a genie and are whisked away to a far off land where they have a run-in with a dragon and many other frightening adventures.
This story has everything that a teenage audience craves: romance, mystery and plenty of adventures such as a trip to Christmasville, Glasstonia as well as other exotic places.
The book is so entertaining that it is difficult to put down once you begin reading the adventures in Everland. I am ready for book 2!!!!

I could not put it down, so i read the whole book in one day, Amado has an interesting imagination.
When I read this book I found it very difficult to put down. It is not only gripping but the twists and turns in this fantasy as well as how Mr. Amado reveals only a little bit of each character throughout the book entices the said reader to want to read on to see what transpires next . It is Well Done and I loved the the Ride enough to go on further to his next book Nadya's book of Spring. I gave This Book 5 stars because it deserves 5 stars. It would really be hard to classify Opal's Book of Winter as solely a Children's book because I find that all ages would enjoy this Book due to the twists and turns which keep the reader interested and wanting more.
